Your Navi might be smart and tells you there are quicker options (especially in case of a traffic jam) but believe us, there are none. DO NOT GO THROUGH THE LÖTSCHBERG TUNNEL unless you have checked the vehicle size and the timetable with the link given below.
If you decide to go a different route you will end up on roads and tunnels not accessible for bigger vehicles and / or you can wave down from a high peak and enjoy the views. Honestly, please stick to the directions and inform us immediately if you get delayed or lost.
We will not be financially responsible for any delays caused by wrong routes!!

The dressing-room portacabins are located in the "private area" (Fort Knox). Access to Fort Knox only with AAA passes. In the backstage area you will find the artist catering-tent where you will get your meals (breakfast, lunch, dinner). Drinks will be prepared in your dressing room according to your rider. Please note that we like to buy local products. Some items might not be available in Switzerland, our Caterer Sam will get in touch with you 2-3 weeks prior to the Festival to confirm your requirements / offer substitutions, if any. The Festival does not pay any buy-outs for restaurants. (There is no decent restaurant in close proximity anyway).
Openair Gampel has developed its own sustainability concept with various measures and new acquisitions for waste separation and management in order to significantly reduce the amount of waste and increase the proportion of recycled waste. But: this alone is not enough. We also need your help!
The biggest contribution you can make at our Festival against food and drink waste is:
- Please reduce the amounts in the Rider to the actual travel party and to what you really want to and can consume!
- We also would like to do without food in the dressing room containers as much as possible. Thank you for your understanding.
Showers and toilets are available in the Backstage area in close proximity to the dressing rooms. The Backstage area is equipped with free Wi-Fi. All dressing rooms, including the ones for Artists performing on the White Stage, are in the Backstage area behind the Red Stage.
Your dressing rooms are available from agreed get-in.

We have a special area for all artists’ merchandise. The merchandise can only be sold within that area. We expect custom officers to check the import declaration. We refuse any responsibility for illegally imported goods. The festival merchandiser will receive 25% of gross revenue and permission to include artist’s name for the festival shirts. Artist will inform the Festival asap, if artist’s name is not to be used. As a consequence, the merchandise concession will then be 30% of gross revenue. The minimum sales fee is CHF 100,00.
